I just finished the ripple part of this massive blanket.
Instead of 5 more stripes I went ahead and did the 8 I had originally planned on doing to finish out my random stripe sheet.
Now I can start weaving in ends, then I am going to go around the entire thing with two rows of sc in orange. Since orange is Caedmon’s favorite color.
I will have a progress picture of his blanket to post tomorrow!
My thoughts have already turned to the next projects. It’s a sickness really! lol
I have a baby blanket I need to make. I’m going to be using the Tiramisu Baby Blanket
on Alicia’s site, and Cotton-ease in the color Lake I plan on using either a green or a chocolate brown ribbon in the blanket. I haven’t quite made up my mind on the ribbon just yet.
Then I have to get started on Kathryn’s blanket for her bed. I thought that after seeing Caedmon’s Ripple she would want a ripple too. However when I gave her the choice she wanted squares. Then I made the mistake of being on the computer browsing craftster and she saw someone’s picture of a Babette Blanket
and she declared that was what she wanted. I bought the back issue of Interweave Crochet off of Ebay and it came in the mail today. It’s scary looking at all the work that will be involved in this blanket. lol I am going to have to more then double the original pattern for it to fit a twin bed! At least the granny squares will be nice to work on in the summer heat.
I also want to attempt some ripple pillow shams for Caedmon’s bed. I have a vision in my head of what I want, now I just have to make it work in real life. lol
