7 Random Things

I read a bunch of blogs.  Like way too many to admit to.  One of my favorites did a 7 Random Things post the other day.  My mind is so full of stuff right now that I can’t come up with a topic to post on.  So I thought I would follow suit.  (Since I’m trying to get back in the swing of blogging.)

So 7 random photos from 2009.

Muddy Dog

My lovely lovely doggie, Gypsy Rose.  I love how much she loves to play in the mud.  I love how she hunches over like this to look at me.  I adore her blue eyes.

Disney - Day 1 (Magic Kingdom)

The only time while we were at Disney that Caedmon acted like he was a little kid instead of a “too cool for everything” pre-teen.

All of my family. I love these folks so much! All my family in one room.  My mom and Dad, my kids, my Husband, My brother and his lovely wife, and my adorable Nephew.

Disney Day 3- Epcot My favorite part of the Disney trip with Kathryn.  We explored France in Epcot together.  She is in love with Paris for some reason.  We spoke with horrible French accents and tried on Berets.  It was so much fun.

I adore this picture. My lovely kids.  A true picture of their personalities.  My son the serious one, and my daughter the dreamer.  Who even knows where her little mind had taken her too while I snapped away.  I ADORE this photo.

36/365 We celebrated 10 years of marriage on December 4th, 2009.  This is my wedding band and engagement ring in my wedding bouquet.  Yes I still have my bouquet from my wedding.

The Stockings were hung and the cookies ready

My favorite picture from Christmas.  I just makes me smile.

-7 Random Questions-

The first two questions I get asked a lot.  The rest I used google to find random questions. lol

1.  How do you find time to knit, crochet etc.

I don’t find time I make it.  Seriously, I don’t have time to sit and just do crafts all the time.  Thing is, it is important to me.  So, I steal bits of time when I can.

2.  Do you enjoy homeschooling your children.

No.  Maybe that’s not the correct answer, but it’s honest.  I don’t enjoy homeschooling the kids.  I do enjoy having them home with me though.  I wouldn’t trade the extra time I have spent with them for anything.  I love that my 8 year old daughter is still into playing with Littlest Pet Shop pets, while the 8 year old girl next door is trying to decided if Edward is hotter then Jacob.  So while I don’t enjoy the actual schooling part, the pay off has made it worth while.

3.  Would you rather have money or love?

Love.  That’s an easy question.  I think it’s the only reason I’m able to stay relatively happy right now.

4.  What is your dream vacation?

It changes daily.  I would love to take the kids and hubby and do a RV vacation through America.  Just a big long road trip.  I would love to go explore other countries, Ireland, Scotland for me.  I would love to one day take Kathryn to France.  Caedmon is obsessed with Doctor Who and really wants to visit Cardiff and London one day.  I would love to go to Alaska some day soon.  So I guess my dream vacation is going somewhere new and exploring the area with my family.

5.  What’s the last sporting event you watched?

Football with the hubby.  I thought I would be safe from football when College football ended.  Now I’m looking forward to the end of NFL football. lol   But the last, game I actually watched was the Vikings kicking butt against the Cowboys.  Hubby is a big fan of Favre and was thrilled.

6. When you were in school, did you speak up in class?  Did you sit in front or the back?

I was fairly shy as a kid/teenager.  Heck, I still am.  So no, I’ve never been one to speak up anywhere and I like being in the back of the room if possible.  Since my last name started with a W and we were usually seated alphabetically it always worked out well.

7.  What was your favorite book as a child?

Mandy by Julie Andrews.  I loved that book.  Which reminds me that I need to read it to the kids.  I bought it just because my name is Mandi (used to spell it with a “y” when I was little).  I fell in love with it though and probably read it a hundred times.

-What are your 7 favorite TV Shows-                                                                              (these are shows that are still on the air.  The list would be different if I included canceled shows that I watch over and over.)

-Criminal Minds                                                                                                                                    -The Mentalist                                                                                                                                       -NCIS                                                                                                                                                        -Heroes                                                                                                                                                     -The Middle                                                                                                                                             -So You Think You Can Dance                                                                                                       -Desperate Housewives

We live in Cardiff, and we have great fun watching Doctor Who (my children love it too) and recognising all the filming locations! I was glad to hear that you’d like to come here one day! Maybe you should plan a big holiday and take in all of the UK locations and France all in one journey!

How funny! I told my hubby about your comment and how you live in Cardiff and I think he was more excited about it then the kids were.
I hope to make it to the UK to visit one day. We just discovered the Doctor a couple of months ago and are on Season 4 our second time through right now. lol
I guess it really is a small world after all. 😉

      • Jennie says:

Have the five 1 hour specials made it over there yet? They’ve been shown through the year over here (taking up at the end of the fourth season). They were very good. I’m sad to see David Tennant finish as the Doctor (teeny tiny crush on him!) although he’s making a pilot for a new programme in the US, so hopefully we’ll see more of him.

      • caednkat says:

We’ve been watching them online. Well all of them but the last two. I’m not ready to say goodbye to Tennant as the doctor just yet. lol
I think they have shown them all on BBC America but we don’t have it right now. All 4 seasons are on Netflix, so my kids watch them over and over and over. My daughter has quite the crush on Tennant… (Umm like mother like daughter… lol). I think his new show here is supposed to start airing this Spring. I’m looking forward to it just a little bit. 😉
